Bible Club

One of the most encouraging ministry opportunities in the last few weeks has been beginning a Bible Club for kids in a neighborhood just a few blocks from our church building. An average of a dozen kids are coming on Saturday mornings to the house of one of our church families. Two or three of the kids have also visited our Sunday School hour. We are very encouraged to see them coming to the club on their own initiative. We are looking forward to beginning more ministry in the homes and neighborhoods of our church families.

Men's Retreat

Early this month the men from our fellowship of churches got together for a great time in the Word. The messages that missionary Colby Holmes (from Argentina) shared with us from Acts 20 were a great challenge and, at times, a great rebuke. But, as if that wasn't enough, we had great fellowship, wonderful times of prayer and great food. (We had roasted lamb, a big barbecue and plenty of good Uruguayan food.)

I am grateful that, though we did play a couple of soccer games, I managed to survive without injury. There were sore muscles though.

The men from some churches weren't able to attend this year because of other commitments, so our congregation will be hosting a mini-retreat on Saturday, June 16th. We're hoping to continue with Paul's exhortations to the Ephesian believers in Acts 20.
