Going Postal...

Here in Salto we have a very stately Post Office building. As I walked in this morning to check on a long overdue package, I couldn't help but admire the design. I soon forgot the design though when I was informed that, once again, due to another union strike, they weren't servicing customers. I've lost track of how many times that has happened...I guess I'll start researching homing pigeons!

Men's Retreat

This year's men's retreat (April 30 through May 2) was especially encouraging. It wasn't just that a large group of men joined us from Argentina and from an independent congregation in Montevideo, it was mostly the combination of biblical teaching and encouraging fellowship. Many met for the first time at the retreat but they were soon sharing like life-long friends. The speakers focused on applying biblical principles to our role as husbands and also to the place of worship in our congregations and homes. It was well worth the effort to be there!
